FAQ

What are your fees?

I offer a variety of session lengths to meet client needs: $60/30-min session, $80/45-min session, $100/60-min session. Each session includes a detailed home practice program and a 5-10 minute parent consultation. Therapy is private pay only; I do not accept insurance. Please note that travel within 7 miles of highway 470 & Ken Caryl Avenue is included in my fee. I have a travel fee of $15 per session for travel 7-10 miles beyond that area.

What does therapy look like?

Therapy is tailored specifically to your child. In our first sessions together we will determine the speech-language goal(s) that are most important to you and your child and then define the plan of action. Therapy takes place conveniently in your home, and I provide activities, games & materials that engage and target your child's specific communication skills.

How long will my child be in therapy?

Every child is different, and the length of time in therapy can vary to several months to ongoing. This depends on several factors, including frequency and consistency of therapy sessions, level of commitment to home practice, and the child's age and severity of needs. I work hard to pack in lots of learning at every session!

How do I know if my child needs therapy?

I offer a free phone consultation that allows us to discuss your child's needs and your concerns, as well as for you to decide whether I may be a good fit for you.  The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) offers some valuable resources: https://www.asha.org/public/speech/development/

My child receives speech therapy at school. How is private therapy different?

Private therapy differs from school-based therapy in many ways, from eligibility to individualization. Providing your child with individualized private therapy can compliment their school-based services very nicely! I'm always happy to support working on IEP goals, or help develop additional goals in areas not covered by school therapy. Let's chat more about it.
